This 11" x 17" drawing in pencil and charcoal on mixed media paper is a dynamic, front-view portrait of a classic steam locomotive charging forward on the tracks. The piece captures the power, nostalgia, and mechanical romance of early rail travel with confident line work and subtle tonal shading. A faint touch of pale yellow highlights the headlamps, adding a warm glow against the otherwise monochromatic palette.
