Beckles builds the image around a hard black ground that lets neon orange, acidic yellow, and high-voltage green flare forward with instant force. Thick acrylic splashes and drips spread across the surface in layered bursts, while the plexiglass gives the paint a slick, reflective finish that intensifies the chromatic punch. The composition is organized as a vertical icon: bands, circles, and a central void lock the painting into a ceremonial structure that carries the energy of abstract expressionism and the graphic logic of post-painterly abstraction into a contemporary, urban register.
