Silent Flight

Silent Flight is a small oil painting, just 3 by 4 inches, presenting a luminous blue moon hovering over quietly rippling water. The moon’s surface holds varied textures in blues and whites, lending a glowing, almost otherworldly presence. Subtle reflections travel across the water in horizontal strokes, suggesting gentle movement beneath the moonlight. Five black birds, sharply silhouetted, move across the scene, adding a sense of scale and life within the stillness. I’ve long been drawn to super moons, their commanding presence inspiring this study in light, texture, and quiet motion.
