My work is influenced by the seasons. I love the outdoors and tending to my garden. This painting is an abstraction of the plants and flowers in my garden and how happy they make me.

Ryan organizes the surface into a vertical rhythm of stacked bands and offset blocks, so the eye reads the work as both a garden trellis and a color field. The acrylic is handled in flat, opaque passages with crisp edges, shallow overlaps, and narrow seams that keep the composition active from edge to edge. The palette moves between turquoise, sky blue, lemon yellow, coral red, blush pink, peach, brown, and deep green, creating a bright seasonal cadence rooted in postwar abstraction and the visual order of non-objective painting.
