The composition centers on a vibrant burst of reds and oranges, layered to create a textured surface that draws the eye inward while radiating outward movement. Bold, swirling brushstrokes build depth and a dynamic sense of flow, suggesting both the intensity and transformation embodied by Pele. To achieve this effect, I worked through multiple layers of color and texture, ultimately producing a print on aluminum from the original. The process challenged me to capture the elemental power and warmth without relying on literal imagery, inviting the viewer into an abstract experience of fire’s presence.
