This 11" x 17" acrylic painting on mixed media paper portrays a powerful, stylized figure of an African woman (Nigerian) carrying a large basket on her back, viewed from behind in a three-quarter angle. The work is bold, expressive, and culturally resonant, executed with thick, textured brushstrokes and a vibrant, high-contrast color palette. The overall mood is one of strength, grace, and quiet dignity, set against a dramatic sunset sky. The piece is signed with initials ("BENNY" one of the first time I signed a piece with my monogram) in the bottom right corner. Instead of Ben P. Graham
