Key Facts

• Location: New Palestine, IN

For a decade, I have devoted my life to nurturing young minds as a scoutmaster, and this enriching experience often finds its way into my art. My educational background is grounded in fine arts, with an Associate and Bachelor's degree in the field. I am an abstract impressionist painter who delights in using vibrant colors, varied textures, and layered patterns. My mixed media artworks are not merely visual experiences; they are narrative threads spun from my encounters with the natural world. In my formative years, I had the privilege of working with a renowned sculptor based in Memphis during my college days. His blueprints were my canvas, and metals of all kinds my paint. I honed my skills in welding and finishing pieces, but it was the art of patinas that truly captivated me, thanks to my background in painting.

Artist Statement

In my artistic journey, my overarching vision is to create an immersive experience for viewers, inviting them to delve deeply into the vibrant colors and evocative images I curate. My creative process begins with the collection of mental images, often derived from personal experiences. These images, initially anchored in reality, gradually morph and metamorphose, taking on a more abstract form - a testament to the transformative power of artistic interpretation.
