Pinkalucious is a 4 by 3 inch oil painting on card that captures a bouquet of pink flowers with dark centers, set against a softly lit background of yellow and green tones. I approached this piece with a looser style, moving away from trying to replicate a photograph and instead focusing on quick, textured brush strokes. The expressive marks bring a lively energy to the flowers and surrounding foliage, creating a fresh impressionistic feel. This process allowed me to engage more playfully with the subject and explore movement within the form.
