Beckles builds the image from hard-edged geometry and explosive color, setting two large circular forms against a diagonal bar so the composition reads like an engineered emblem in motion. The white plexiglass ground intensifies the electric palette of blue, yellow, neon green, red, and pink, while black fields lock the structure into place and make the paint splatter and drip register with sharp clarity. The surface carries both control and velocity: dense sprayed and flung marks, pooled passages, and crisp circular reliefs create a tense dialogue between precision and release. The work belongs to the lineage of geometric abstraction filtered through postwar pop and hard-edge painting, with the assertive chroma and frontal impact recalling the visual force of Op Art, Color Field, and the graphic energy of contemporary urban abstraction.
