There has always been kind of a fairy tale feeling whenever I see them. I started to think of what kind of story I could paint with them, and a bear and large tree came to mind. They make unusual friends, but I think they are on a journey to find honey together. I like the playfulness I was able to bring.  I used a pallet knife to create texture for the tree bark and a mixed medium of modeling plaster, acrylic and oil paints with glazing.
